In 2013, the Supreme Court gutted the preclearance provision of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 in Shelby County v. Holder. The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights has now issued a report on the massive voter suppression campaign that has ensued in about half of the states in the 10 years since the myopic decision.
