NC Supreme Court flips to Republican and takes unusual decision to rehear cases

This article comes from a party that supports the prior decision of the NC Supreme Court in Moore v. Harper (February 2022), which declared that the legislature's Congressional districting map  violated a provision in the state constitution that guarantees free elections. Since then, the court composition has changed to majority Republican, and the new majority has taken the very unusual step of rehearing the case.
