Are Marylanders paying for energy company's legal and illegal bribes to politicians?

First Energy Corporation (which owns Potomac Edison) bribed the Speaker of the House of the Ohio legislature (among others) and gave at least $163,000 to dark money committees.

Inside story of liberal groups' disagreement about federal election funding aid

This article criticizes the Brennan Center (and also Rep. Sarbanes) for not supporting election funding, thus ignoring the pleas of state and local election officials. Private aid to states for 2020 came from Mark Zuckerberg and that has generated controversy. Pres. Biden has included a request for election assistance to states in his latest budget proposal.
